Your Questions, Answered: Navigating Therapy with Confidence

Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming. This page is here to answer common questions and help you explore whether working together feels like a good fit.

The beginning is often the hardest part of any journey—and therapy is no different. If you’re curious but unsure, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to see if this work resonates with you.

  • Therapy offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore your inner world and make meaningful shifts in your life. Whether you’re navigating grief, relationship challenges, stress, or a sense of disconnection, this work invites you to slow down, tune in, and begin to heal from the inside out.

Common reasons people begin therapy include:

    • Wanting to feel more seen and understood

    • Seeking support through loss, change, or transition

    • Struggling with anxiety, stress, or low self-worth

    • Desiring healthier, more connected relationships

    • Navigating the complexities of pregnancy, infertility, or motherhood

    • Healing after divorce, death, or major life changes

    • Letting go of limiting beliefs or self-defeating patterns

    • Reconnecting to a deeper sense of meaning, joy, and self-trust

Together, we’ll clarify your goals and create a path forward that supports your healing and growth—using approaches grounded in science, presence, and compassion.

  • Yes. Getting stuck is part of being human—especially when old coping strategies begin to lose their usefulness. Our brains are wired for survival, which means they often default to familiar patterns, even when those patterns no longer serve us.

In therapy, we begin to gently observe those patterns together—without judgment—and explore what’s beneath them. Through consistent, compassionate attention, you can begin to release what’s holding you back and create new neural pathways that support a more aligned, empowered version of you.

I believe deeply in your capacity for change. Healing is possible. Transformation is real. And you don’t have to do it alone.

  • Therapy is a collaborative process that unfolds at your pace. While every journey is different, many clients begin to notice meaningful shifts within a few sessions. Together, we’ll define clear goals and use evidence-based practices to help you create lasting change.

This work isn’t about quick fixes—it’s about sustainable healing and growth.

  • Psychotherapy is a process of deep self-discovery led by a trained and licensed therapist. It invites you to explore your emotions, relationships, and history to better understand how your past may be shaping your present.

    Psychotherapy can support you in:

    • Processing grief, anxiety, or anger

    • Making difficult decisions with clarity

    • Healing relational wounds

    • Cultivating healthier communication and connection

    • Reclaiming joy, agency, and emotional freedom

It’s not about “fixing” you—it’s about meeting yourself with compassion and courage, and making space for what’s truly possible.

  • Therapy is a licensed healthcare service that supports emotional healing and psychological wellbeing by exploring unresolved patterns, trauma, and beliefs. It’s rooted in clinical training, neuroscience, and mental health expertise.

Coaching focuses on goal-setting and personal development. Life coaches do not need to be licensed or trained in mental health care, and their work typically doesn’t address trauma or emotional processing in depth.
